Grandparents Visit

It seems like life goes into fast forward mode whenever we have family in town. I blinked and my parents are already on their way back to Topeka. Mister K had some interesting moods while they were in town... he decided that fake coughing got him attention, so he did it all the time. Not fun. But he's already getting better about doing it less. I think he's exhausted today, though- he's on his 3rd mini nap of the day. Sleep has been really rough for him this week, too. It's almost like he wanted to spend as much time as possible with his grandparents and fought sleep every single time... naps, nighttime, everything. He would throw an absolute fit whenever he got sleepy and would kick his feet to keep himself awake. Yikes! Today he's been a lot less fussy, though, so I hope he'll get out of the habit.

We did a lot of things while my parents were in town. We bought a bunch of clothes on sale at Carter's for Keaton, since he's in 9-12 month clothes now and barely had any long sleeved items at all. We hit up Walmart and Mom cooked a lot of food. :) We went to the Brookfield Zoo on Saturday and although we only went through about a third of it, Keaton seemed to really enjoy it- especially the Children's Zoo. He got to pet a baby chick (which was adorable... he was so gentle!) and absolutely loved the goats! He laughed at them and wasn't scared at all to touch them. I got some funny pictures of him (in his new Monkey hat!) enjoying them. Love it!

He got to play the keyboard with Grandpa, and got some new toys from Grandma. He learned that 'click click' is one of his new favorite activities (clicking two toys together) and loves to 'wiggle wiggle' (rock back and forth while sitting) now. I think he thoroughly enjoyed his time with Grandma & Grandpa Harding. And so did I.

Yesterday we threw a little party for Casey's 30th. It was like Babyfest in here at one point; 4 boys within 2 weeks of each other in age, all sitting in our living room, while the girls, Darielis (almost 2 year old) and Vivian (4 year old) watched. We had quite a bit of people, and a ton of food. I think it went well, although it was a little crazy with all of the kids running around. Hopefully Casey enjoyed his birthday this year- we had fun celebrating throughout the week.

I guess that's about all for now... I'm sure there's plenty more to write about, but Keaton is awake now and is getting bored. Looking forward to our trip to Topeka in less than 2 weeks!
